George I style walnut and crotch walnut veneer desk or armchair with a kidney shaped curved back panel with radial veneers, sweeping arms around an antiqued leather studded seat and raised on a single column and star shaped base with brass castors and shallow carved acanthus scrolls. Inspired by an an original of c.1720.
